API Lead Engineer Velocity

We are looking for someone who:

Is an experienced, detail-oriented API Lead Engineer to be the critical member of our cross-functional Agile teams. You will have a strong technology, communication and stakeholder management skills to assist in defining, implementing and operating an API centre of excellence for Velocity business. You will be responsible for driving a connected customer experience through creating robust APIs at scale, building features in the right way and setting clear data driven objectives our teams can learn from.

You will have a key role in enabling people by sharing best practice, influencing teams on API design patterns and principles and using data to drive decisions.

What will you bring?

* Demonstrated experience with API Management (concepts and capabilities, Security, Authentication, Policies, SOAP, Restful service design principles, Git versioning, etc.).

* Proven success and experience in API strategy development and management.

* Experience with API integration patterns and programming standards and how best they apply on the Apigee, AWS platform.

* 4+ years Hands on development experience with API/Micro-services.

* Experience working with leading technologies enabling DevOps (CI & CD processes)

* Experience designing and implementing IT solutions architecture for both COTS (Commercial Off the Shelf) and bespoke software solutions including integration with multiple on-premise and cloud-hosted systems.

* Ability to deliver complex technology programs in agile environments

* Understand full life-cycle integration platforms in SaaS environments

* Good knowledge/working experience in AWS.
