01270 PRODUCTION CONTROL CLERK:

This position is in the Operations Section/Production Control of the APS-3 Program located on the Charleston Naval Weapons Station, in Goose Creek, SC. The Operations Section, is responsible for the planning, scheduling, mission and workload tracking, of the mission support activities of the program.

General Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, this position compiles and records production data for industrial establishments to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, other aspects of production, and imports, creates, exports and data within the Army War Reserve Deployment System ( AWRDS). May perform any combination of the following duties: Import data from spreadsheets or other formats, export data to various formats, key data directly, create standard and custom reports, assign equipment , issue equipment, validate requirements, create work orders, monitor work orders, create transportation documentation, utilize radio frequency identification software (RFI), access other standard Army data bases to update data, create forms and reports, utilize Microsoft Office software

for reports. Also c ompiles and records production data for industrial establishments to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production, performing any combination of the following duties: compiles and records production data from such documents as customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets, following prescribed recording procedures and using typewriter and other devices. Calculates such factors as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, and amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates, using adding machine or calculator. Writes production reports based on data compiled, tabulated and computed, following prescribed formats.

Maintains files used and prepared. Compiles from customer orders and other specifications detailed production sheets or work tickets for use by production workers as guides in assembly or manufacture of products. Prepares written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities. Compiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies. Charts production, using chart, graph, or pegboard, based on statistics compiled for reference by production and management personnel. Sorts and distributes work tickets or material to workers. May compute wages from employee time cards and post wage data on records used for preparation of payroll.

Capable in basic office automation systems/hardware, the MICROSOFT Office suite, and understands SharePoint/Shared file systems, along with Army Information Management Systems like AWRDS.

Specific Duties:

- Perform general Production Control Clerk using AWRD duties in addition to below duties:

- Generate and format spreadsheets using Excel

- Updating all information pertaining to equipment in system

- Inventory/Tracking of equipment by using PDA Scanner

- Printing labels/applying labels to equipment

- Updating all secondary load information

- Linking/Moving equipment within the database

- Reconcile MROS and CBLS

Primary work environment is an indoor office, however significant time is spent in the warehouse and outdoor lot. Normal work week is 40 hours.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

· 2 years related experience in fields involving production, logistics, supply, or record keeping using automated

systems

· Ability to multi-task and problem solve

· High School diploma; college completion viewed favorably

· Skilled in using of various Microsoft Office programs, basic skills in Excel and Outlook

Working knowledge of MICRO-Soft Project a plus

· Working knowledge of AWRDS a plus

· Working knowledge of Army unit structure i.e. MTOEs, authorizations, requirements, equipment readiness and

category codes a plus

Working knowledge of the Army class of supply system and National Stock numbers (NSN/NIIN) a plus

Requirements:

· US Citizen

· Must be able to obtain and maintain local base access

· Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable Common Access Card (CAC) issuance

· Must be able to meet government-specified requirements for deployment

· Ability to walk and stand regularly

· Ability to work outdoors in the heat and cold

· Ability to work overtime as required by production schedule
