The Role:

We are looking for an experienced CNC technician who will be hands on in the manufacture of Lilium’s revolutionary product.

In this position you will report directly to the Prototyping WorkShop Leader and will work on a variety of projects and tasks. As part of this role, you will be working on the CNC process development, setup and operation on a daily basis. Furthermore, you will assist the engineering teams by providing feedback for design improvements to the product.

Your Day to Day:

• Work in a self-directed team of CNC Experts
• Responsible for supporting the development of the CNC manufacturing capabilities.
• Follow work instructions and processes.
• Troubleshooting and feedback of errors to the corresponding teams, cooperation for root cause analysis
• Implement and sustain manufacturing data of the production system
• Support with equipment ‘’Shop Floor Programming’’ and Setup
• Operate high performance CNC Machining Center in accordance to established processes.
• Work cross functionally with related departments
• eg. work with Manufacturing Engineering to improve processes, equipment & tooling, and machining efficiency.
• eg. improve manufacturing standards and process requirements
• eg. support digital improvements and innovations while working with manufacturing execution systems
• Assist Prototype WorkShop team in development of tooling and new equipment commissioning and implementation.

Your Profile:

• Educational background as CNC technician required
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in CNC job setup, operation and programming required
• Minimum of 2 years’ Experience with Turn-Mill Machining center required
• Minimum of 2 year’s Experience with 5 axis Machining center required
• Must be able to work from complex and detailed documentation and/or verbal and written instructions depending on situation
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions setup sheets.
• Experience with operating and maintaining a wide variety of hand and power tools, shop tools, test equipment. Experience operating high volume production machinery preferred.
• Experience in supporting Post-Processor Development
• Experience in Conversational Programming (Mazatrol, Siemens ShopMill-ShopTurn)
• Extensive experience in Multi-Axis and High-Speed Machining
• Deep knowledge of latest CNC controller technologies
• Perform daily record keeping and create reports and test analysis
• Optimize the life and use of cutting tools
• Serious Interest for CAM Programing
• High level of self-reliance with the ability to work both in a team and autonomously
• Fluent English required, German language is a plus
