Description
Based in St. Bruno, Quebec, you will be responsible for the electrical concept and architecture of the vehicle. In addition to this, your scope of responsibility include brakes and energy consumption. The engineer must define the most optimum architecture, systems and components in terms of performance, space, weight and cost.
You will need to analyse and assess the requirements of the technical customer specification, develop the technical concept for your scope, provide technical input and effort estimation. For the project phase the engineer will be accountable for the hours spend, technical and timely implementation (adherence to plan) of the electrical, motion and energy concept of the vehicle measured in terms of QTC. You will coordinate the system engineers and be the single point of contact for all tasks regarding the Motion and Energy Systems of the vehicle.
In your role you will:

Understand, interpret and transfer the contractual, legislative and internal Bombardier requirements into clear requirements if necessary;

Write the Key Requirements Document for Train Arrangement and Layout (3A_01);

Manage and lead the concept definition for scope;

Initiate, drive and follow-up technical optimization;

Drive and take technical decisions within the scope;

Manage all activities (hours, technical and plan) related to your scope during the project phase;

Manage the technical interfaces to other areas;
-
Resolute of conflicts (technical and commercial);
-
Support verification and validation for the scope;

Review of output from Functional Architects for the scope;
-
Ensure efficient management of experience feedback between previous and future projects;

Communicate with the customer for your technical area of the project and scope of works.
Qualifications
As our ideal candidate:
-
You hold an Electrical Bachelor´s Degree;
-
You have minimum of ten (10) years of experience in rail environment or similar;
-
You have a good understanding of the main functions directly interrelated with the system engineered as well as the corresponding influences and interfaces;

You have excellent English and French communication skills, both written and spoken.
