Job Description

This position is with the Deer Creek facility.

The Electrical Engineer will apply engineering principles to design, modify and test equipment, electrical systems or processes to drive the company’s manufacturing process towards greater safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Evaluates electrical systems, components, PLC programs and applications.
•Develop technical solutions for electrical and equipment systems issues and system improvements, oversee implementation and installation.
•Develop PLC programs and program improvements for a wide variety of industrial process equipment.
•Design and oversee installation of AC building electrical circuits and systems.
•Develop and maintain technical documentation for electrical and equipment systems. This includes but not limited to, process procedures, operation instructions, electrical/mechanical drawings, and other system documentation as necessary.
•Assist in problem solving for unplanned downtime.
•Willing to work weekend assignments infrequently (equipment failure, critical projects).

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

•Bachelor’s Degree in electrical (Preferred) or industrial engineering.
•Familiar with PLC systems, ladder logic, programming methods and programming software. (knowledge of Modicon, Allen Bradley, Studio 5000 a plus).
•Basic understanding of Ethernet IP network configuration.
•Experience in AutoCAD for making electrical drawings.
•Self-starter and ability to learn.
•Strong analytical, problem solving skills. Outstanding detail and organizational skills.
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to work independently and with teams across a broad spectrum of positions and personalities.
