Job Description

CACI is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Engineering Intern to support our Government acquisition customer at Fort Belvoir, VA. You will have the opportunity to support one of the Army’s leading edge programs providing a single platform that Soldiers/Marines can Fight, Rehearse, and Train that provides the increased lethality, mobility and situational awareness necessary to achieve overmatch against our current and future adversaries.

What You’ll Get to Do:

* Provide engineering services support to the Technical and/or Test Directors as needed to support one of the following swim lanes
* Adaptive Soldier/Squad Architecture (an architecture documenting existing Soldier variations)
* Synthetic Training Environment – Squad Capability, Heads Up Display Integration (conformal head mounted digital sensor system with immersive see through display)
* Thermal Camera Development/Integration (ultra-compact thermal sensor modules with standard interfaces)
* Low Light Camera Development/Integration (ultra-compact digital LLL sensor modules with standard interfaces)
* Nett Warrior 3.0 Integration (Network SA/C2 enabled by Artificial Intel for combat overmatch, Synthetic train and rehearsal, wireless and hearing protection)
* Squad Lethality Metrics (ability to predict Soldier/ Squad performance based on accepted model(s))
* Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning (rule-based planning, decision, and OPFOR adaption support. Quantitative pattern recognition, change detection, id support)

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

* Equivalent of an Associate Degree in an Engineering field of Study (at least two full years of college level engineering study, prefer three years)
* Ability to write clear reports and specifications in English
* Ability to interface with team members, technical leads and Project Managers
* Ability to work alone on individual projects with supervision and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members
* Proficient with MS Excel for calculations, Word, and Powerpoint
* Good verbal (English) communication skills
* Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

* Previous Intern experience and/or lab experience supporting hardware and/or software system level design
* Active Secret Security Clearance
