INTERN - MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

We are searching for an Intern - Manufacturing Engineer for our Power Distribution - Anaheim location.

Reporting to the Supervisor Manufacturing Engineering, this role will perform a variety of manufacturing engineering work in operational method sheets, detailed work instructions, tooling and fixture design and other manufacturing operations support under general supervision.

Responsibilities:

* Support Manufacturing operations to maintain highest level of productivity and quality possible.

* Plan, develop and facilitate the implementation of processes and procedures required to assemble electro/mechanical sub assemblies, assemblies, and systems to reduce cost, improve Quality and schedule.

* Coordinate with Sustaining Engineering, Quality and manufacturing to resolve production problems to meet the production schedule.

* Develop, maintain and input routers into MTO database for new and existing products.

* Develop and maintain operational method sheets for new and existing products.

* Support manufacturing engineering in developing new and maintaining existing tooling and fixture design.

* Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing and 5S in the assigned team area.

* Performs other duties as assigned by the Management.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

*

Currently working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline or equivalent in Manufacturing Engineering (minimum 3rd year in college). Previous internship experience is preferred.

*

Basic understanding of engineering documents such as drawings, bill or material, wire list and schematic.

*

Good oral and written communication skills.

*

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and adaptability to all the challenges that arise on the production floor.

*

Proficiency in the use of personal computers and software.

Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
