Maintenance Quality Manager (M/F)

The Maintenance Quality Manager is responsible for developing and managing the quality system and for ensuring it continues to comply with regulatory requirements and to meet the needs of the business.

The main tasks and duties of the Maintenance Quality Manager are to:

  • Ensure full compliance with Part-145 regulations
  • Liaise with Lufthansa Technik central Quality Department and functions
  • Ensure all quality related policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Carry out investigations into any quality issues or customer occurrences
  • Establish procedures for dealing with non-conformities and take corrective/preventive action in response to audit findings
  • Perform quality spot checks and audits as part of an ongoing audit program
  • Confirm the implementation of agreed corrective actions found during internal / external audits
  • Ensure completion of the company audit plan for the location, including supplier audits
  • Monitor all contracted maintenance for compliance with contract conditions relevant to airworthiness
  • Promote a consistently high quality standard at the facility
  • Monitor local training needs and ensure staff who carry out quality checks are adequately trained
  • Control and maintain company authorizations and associated records
  • Promote the highest quality of environmental along with health and safety standards
Your profile
  •  Qualification as Licensed Aircraft Engineer or university degree in aircraft engineering
  • Relevant work experience in a PART 145 environment along with work experience in quality assurance
  • Excellent knowledge of the PART 145, PART 66 and PART M and international aviation regulations and standards
  • Proven experience in event investigation (error and cause analysis), audit techniques and SMS
  • Analytical and interview skills and training (for example: MEDA)
  • Experience in EN9110, ISO 14001 and OHSAS18001 is an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of English, both written and spoken - knowledge of Romanian language is an advantage
  • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Excellent service and customer orientation with strong interpersonal and intercultural skills
  • Result oriented, decisiveness and good analytical skills
  • Ability to work in high stress environment
  • Readiness for domestic and foreign duty travel
  • Valid driving license
  • Eligibility to reside and work in Romania
  • Willingness to work some night shifts when required
