Job Responsibilities

This position is for a mechanical engineer to provide engineering support for the Otis Gen2 product. The position will play a crucial role in maintaining product integrity, evaluating opportunities, and integrating new component designs into existing systems, while working to meet agreed upon cost and schedule commitments.

Typical responsibilities include product life cycle maintenance, cost reduction projects, and product improvements. This position will interface with multiple value streams such as supply chain, field operations, factory support, and others to ensure requirements are met.

The candidate should have a strong mechanical engineering background with experience working in a cross functional team environment.

Education

BS Degree in mechanical engineering degree with 3+ years’ experience

MS degree with 0 – 3+ years’ experience

Experience/Skills

* Sound mechanical engineering background (mechanical and system modeling and design, component modeling and design)
* Creo / Pro Engineer
* Mechanical structural analysis with Ansys or other FEA Software
* Design documentation with Mathcad
* Strong communications and leadership ability
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
* Hands-on testing or manufacturing experience preferred but not required
