Position Overview:

* To provide engineering support for the cost effective maintenance, repair and modification of DND maritime patrol aircraft and other related engineering tasks.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

* Carry out technical investigations and engineering support activities as tasked by the customer.

* Carry out aeronautical/mechanical engineering design and analysis for retrofit/modification/prototype installations.

* Carry out design of aircraft structural repair schemes;

* Prepare detailed engineering reports, ground and flight test plans in support of aircraft modification/installation projects.

* Provide engineering support to the R&O division during the manufacture/installation/testing phases of aircraft modification projects.

* Provide engineering services to the R&O division in support of DLIR/R&O programs.

* Participate as a team member on major projects which may be based in other sections/departments within the engineering division.

* Carry out stress/structural analyses and prepare weight and balance reports.

* Provide engineering support to other company divisions.

Position Requirements:

* B. Eng. Or B. Sc. (Eng.) and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

* 0-3 years experience in an engineering environment.

* Eligibility for membership in ENS is desired.

* Sound knowledge of aircraft structures and mechanical systems is desirable.

* Excellent writing skills.

* Ability to work effectively with people at all levels within the organization and outside agencies.

* Participate in Continuous Improvement, Lean & 8S activities in your area.

* Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Canadian Government Security Clearances.
