L3 Technologies, Electron Devices currently has an opportunity for a detail-oriented QUALITY INSPECTOR (Labor Grade 16) to perform in-process of subassemblies, assemblies, and final inspection end products.

Roles and responsibilities for this position will include but not be limited to:

• Inspecting solder per J-STD (IPC-610) of SMT components & mechanical parts on subassemblies, assemblies and end products using microscope and hand inspection tools.
• Verifies work performed in accordance with routing sheets, specifications and manufacturing instructions.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure proper assembly, dimensions and perform Final Inspection of hardware to ensure compliance with drawing.
• Prepare accurate discrepancy documents and inspection reports and maintain inspection data.
• While the individual selected for this position will be assigned to our day shift, changes in production requirements may result in temporary reassignment to second (afternoon) shift.

Qualifications

You will need at least three years of experience performing quality workmanship inspections of electronic and mechanical assemblies.
Other qualifications that will enable you to be successful in this role include:

• Experience in Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) handling controls and performing solder inspection of circuit board assemblies.
• Proficiency in the use of inspection tools (i.e., height gauges, calipers, and microscopes).
• Demonstrated ability to work from blueprints, drawings, engineering documents, and manufacturing instructions.
• Must be able to determine hardware compliance through the use of specifications and instructions.
• Participate in training and meet necessary certifications as required.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• A High school diploma or equivalent education is required
• Must have working knowledge of MS Outlook (email), MS Word, MS Excel, and familiarity working with databases.
