The Electronics Group of Crane Aerospace & Electronics designs and manufactures high-density, high-reliability electronics for our aerospace, space, military, medical, industrial, and commercial customers. The Senior Engineering Drafter, under minimal oversight, will perform schematic capture and circuit layout at the direction of Engineering. He/she will consistently create accurate manufacturing drawings while following the Company’s design guidelines for the circuit design, drawing formats, and Design for Manufacturing criteria. This role will be located in Redmond until June, 2019 and will then move to Crane facility in Lynnwood.

Responsibilities:

* Schematic capture of electrical circuits

* Circuit layout compliant with engineering guidelines

* Implement layout changes based on Engineering instructions and change orders

* Plan and organize the complete drawing package for a design project to meet standards in engineering, manufacturing, and quality control.

* Document and archive projects using established protocol and systems

* Validate designs with design rule checking software

* Timely release of drawings

Minimum Requirements:

* Minimum 4 years schematic capture and layout experience

* Ability to work independently with minimal oversight

* Understanding and knowledge of circuit components and associated terminology

* Demonstrated understanding of circuit layout design principles

* IPC Certification (CID or CID+) is a plus

* Ability to use drafting tools and modern techniques

* Knowledge to check materials and components selected (e.g. size, pinout)

* Proficiency in utilizing drafting libraries.

* Proficiency in Windows 7 and MS Office tools

* Pantheon, Mozaix and Altium experience a plus

* Windows batch files and PERL experience a plus

* Experience designing hybrid microelectronics a plus

* Two-year degree in technically-oriented discipline or equivalent experience.
