Typical Roles and Responsibilities:

* Design creative and flexible HW/SW solutions with a motivated team of experts

* Hardware Design includes:

* Electronic Circuit Design

* RF Design

* Power/Cooling Monitor and Control

* Interface Panel Layouts and Interconnections

* Test Console Design

* Software Design includes:

* Process Automation

* Instrument Drivers and Utilities

* User Interface (UI) Design

* Real Time, Pre and Post Processing Data Analysis

* Firmware Design for simulation and control

* Software/Hardware integration

* Requirements verification

* Actively support the investigation, resolution and documentation of product anomalies

* Design to Cost Analysis





Qualifications

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Engineer:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related STEM discipline

* 5 years industry experience w/ Bachelors, 3 years w/ Masters
* Must have previous Hardware and Software experience
* Experience in panel design, cable design, and schematic layouts
* Experience with HW/SW integration
* Experience with lab test equipment (e.g. DMM and O-Scopes)
* Software development experience e.g. C/C++ programming
* Effective verbal and written communication
* Active Secret Clearance

Basic Qualifications for a Senior Principal Engineer:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related STEM discipline

* 9 years industry experience w/ Bachelors, 7 years w/ Masters, 4 years w/ PhD
* Must have previous Hardware and Software experience
* Experience in panel design, cable design, and schematic layouts
* Experience with HW/SW integration
* Proficient with lab test equipment (e.g. DMM, O-Scope, SpecAn)
* Software development experience e.g. C/C++ programming
* Effective verbal and written communication
* Active Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

*
Advanced degree in Engineering or related STEM discipline

*
Proficiency in C/C++ programming, LabWindows CVI is a plus

*
Proficiency in Radio Frequency (RF) design and Automated Test Equipment (ATE).

*
Experience with schematic design tools (e.g., Mentor Graphics, Zuken, etc.).

*
Hands-on troubleshooting experience of electrical hardware.

*
Proficient with RF test & measurement equipment (e.g. Signal Generator, Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer).

*
PCB Layout skills.

*
FPGA programming/Firmware design experience.

*
Technical Lead experience.

*
Active Secret/TS/SCI clearance
